Combating Diseases In Children

Combating Diseases In Children

One of the duties of parents to their children is the prevention of disease.
When illness affects her child, a mother’s role becomes indispensable
For the medical treatment of the ailing child to be successful, the loving attention of the parents in addition to the judicious maternal supervision of drug administration is essential.

Proper reporting of the observed signs and symptoms presented by the child as observed by the parents will be of great help to the physician..

One of the best ways of combating disease in the infant is by breast-feeding the infant and following appropriate immunization program schedule.

The Healthy Child

The Healthy Infant.

When awake, the infant will be cheerful and sprightly, loving to be played with.
He or she frequently breaks into a merry, happy laugh.
The tongue is free of sores’
The skin is cool.
The eyes bright.
The complexion clear.
Breathing is regular and without effort.

When asleep, the child will appear calm.
Every feature composed and serene.
The countenance displaying an expression of happiness and peace.
The face may even be lit up in a smile.
Breathing is regular and without effort.
